GET OUT RELEASE NEWS
I have to admit, I rarely go to the movies anymore. Ever since my friend's friend stopped working at the theater, when four or five of us would watch the latest movies at midnight without some jackass texting in front of us, I just can't bring myself to go. I really can't stand the people that see movies now; they act as if they are in their own house with the crying babies, the chitter chatter, the goddamn cellphones (seriously, movie theaters, create a text free enviroment for us!). So I end up missing out and avoiding spoilers at all costs for films like Jordan Peele's Get Out.
I love Key & Peele, and when I found out Jordan Peele was doing a horror film, it didn't surprise me all that much. Some of their skits are brilliant and can be laced with a dark undertone. But when it blew up, I was really happy for him; it's not like I know the guy, but I like his work so I was happy for him. I've avoided everything but the first trailer up until now, and with the Digital HD release today, and Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand just around the corner, I'm very, very antsy.
Let's see if I can hold off for two more weeks.
